Are you passionate about Europe, democracy, and making your voice heard? Do you want to meet young people from across Europe, explore new ideas, and work together on reimagining the future of Europe? Then this is your chance!
Poraka Nova is opening a call for participants from Macedonia to take part in the upcoming youth exchange titled “EU&ME: Rethinking Europe Through Youth Power and Innovation”, which will take place from 23 June to 01 July 2025 in Struga, Macedonia.
This event is part of the European Citizenship Academy (ECA) project – Тhe European Citizenship Academy is a European youth education project which aims to engage young people and youth organizations in the democratic process and society by offering training, developing exchanges and encouraging meetings, discussion and debate, to help them identify their link with the EU, its values and its democratic foundations, in a word to accompany them in becoming actively aware of their European citizenship.
About the exchange
The main aim of the exchange is to empower participants to explore, challenge, and reimagine the future of Europe through a rich blend of democratic engagement, social innovation, resilience, and youth leadership. By combining experiential learning, intercultural dialogue, outdoor adventure, and digital tools, the program creates a vibrant environment where young people can reflect on what it means to be an active European citizen today.
Throughout the exchange, participants will be encouraged to critically examine the values of the European Union, explore the European Charter of Fundamental Rights, and consider the role young people can play in safeguarding democracy. The program will support youth in developing a stronger sense of resilience and responsibility in responding to these contemporary European challenges.
Participants will engage in a range of interactive and participatory activities, including social innovation sessions, where they will work collaboratively to design practical solutions for a more inclusive and just Europe. The exchange also emphasizes youth leadership and advocacy, offering space to practice creative problem-solving, while strengthening intercultural competencies, teamwork, and communication skills by learning with peers from different countries and backgrounds.
In addition to the thematic focus, participants will also gain practical knowledge about EU-funded opportunities such as volunteering, youth mobility, and project funding, helping them to continue their engagement and leadership journey beyond the exchange.

Location
The exchange will take place in a beautiful setting—Camping Scout Struga, located on the shores of the Ohrid Lake and just minutes away from the center of Struga.
Participants will be accommodated in shared rooms in the main building of the camp, with all meals provided.
The location offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and learning, with nearby beaches, museums, and cafés, making it an ideal place for connection and inspiration.
Who is applicable
We are looking for young people aged 18 and above from Macedonia who are interested in the topic of European citizenship, democracy, and innovation.
Previous experience in Erasmus+ youth exchanges is welcome but not required—we also encourage applications from those who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn and grow through international experiences.
For this exchange, we are looking to select 1 youth leader and 4 participants who will representing Poraka Nova, but also Macedonia as part of a diverse international group of young changemakers.
