If you would like to learn how to take real action for a greener future  all while meeting young people from different countries, explore the beauty of the Romanian mountains, then this youth exchange is for you!
We’re looking for 7 young participants (aged 16–30) and 1 group leader (18+, no age limit) to join the ECO WORLD – The Third! youth exchange, which will take place from 1–11 September 2025 in Predeal, Romania.
You will be part of a diverse group of young people from Romania, Macedonia, Turkey, Italy, and Bulgaria, working together to explore environmental issues and promote sustainable practices. The exchange combines experiential learning, outdoor adventure, and intercultural collaboration — all in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains.

About the Exchange

ECO WORLD – The Third! is a youth empowerment project focused on environmental education and sustainable development. The goal is to equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and motivation to become active agents of change in their communities.
Through dynamic workshops, team challenges, and intercultural learning, the participants gain a deeper understanding of environmental issues and explore creative ways to take action on the following topics:

  • Climate change, biodiversity, and pollution
  • Eco-friendly habits and sustainable lifestyles
  • Community activism and youth-led initiatives
  • Digital tools for environmental advocacy

This exchange is more than just a project — it’s a platform for building a community of youth who care about the future of the planet.

Travel and Location

This youth exchange will take place in Predeal, Romania.
Predeal is stunning town surrounded by forests and mountains, offering the perfect natural setting to reflect, learn, and grow.

  • Travel days: 1st & 11th September 2025
  • Project activities: 2nd–10th September 2025

You can arrive up to 2 days before or stay up to 2 days after the official dates, but any additional accommodation or meals will need to be covered by the participant.

How to reach the venue:

  1. By plane
    Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) – ~2.5h to Predeal by train
    Brașov-Ghimbav Airport (GHV) – ~1h to Predeal
  1. By train
    Trains to Predeal are frequent and scenic. The venue is only a 5-minute walk from the train station.

Travel tickets must be approved before purchase in order to be eligible for reimbursement.

Accommodation

The participants will stay at the hotel Del Monte Predeal, a cozy mountain hotel that provides shared rooms (2–4 people, with double beds and separate blankets).

Accommodation, 3 meals, coffee breaks, and training materials are fully covered by the organizer during the official project days.
Rooms are comfortable and suitable for both indoor sessions and outdoor breaks.
Don’t forget to bring your own toiletries, warm clothes, and comfortable shoes.

A highlight of the exchange is the Intercultural Evening, where you’ll get to showcase your country through food, music, stories, and performances. Bring your creativity — and some traditional snacks!

Who is Eligible to Apply?

We are looking for:

  • 7 participants (aged 16–30)
  • 1 group leader (18+, no upper age limit)

Participant profile:

  • Interested in environmental topics (climate, biodiversity, pollution)
  • Motivated to learn and take action
  • Open to working with people from different backgrounds
  • Ready to engage in group activities and intercultural exchange
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

At least 3 of the 7 participants should be from fewer opportunity backgrounds, such as:

  • NEET (not in education, employment, or training)
  • From rural or remote areas
  • Economically disadvantaged
  • From a minority or marginalized group
