From 20-23 June the ALTYO – Advocacy and Lobbying for Youth Organizations training within Eryica – European Youth Information and Counselling Agency’s Youth Info Pioneers Project was held in Struga. Poraka Nova as one of the partners of this project was host of this event and welcomed the guest and participants from other partner countries Spain, Luxembourg, Albania, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the first day we started with introduction of youth information work and advocacy, then we had session about the environment advocacy. After the lunch a session about the EU lobbying and policy making was delivered along with the new trends in advocacy through social media. We ended the day with the steps of advocacy and reflections of the day. During the second day all participants were divided in groups and experienced the creation process of Advocacy campaign. For creation of the campaign we followed few steps such as: Setting advocacy objectives, mapping the lobbying environment, stakeholder analysis, selecting allies. Then defining the target audience, formulating key messages, ended with drawing up a lobbying plan and fundraising.  On the last day we continued to work on the Advocacy campaign and on the agenda we had: Planning the communication, which advocacy and lobbying tools to be used, as well creative communication tools.

Additionally we developed a campaign plan, creating a timeline, how the monitoring and implementation will be done. As a last task we had reflection of the day and evaluation of the training.

Thanks to all participants, trainers, guests who joined this amazing event!
