About the Youth Exchange and ECA Project

The European Citizenship Academy (ECA) is a European youth education project which aims to engage young people and youth organizations in the democratic process and society by offering training, developing exchanges and encouraging meetings, discussion and debate, to help them identify their link with the EU, its values and its democratic foundations, in a word to accompany them in becoming actively aware of their European citizenship.

Project Objectives
ECA’s overall aim is to get young people and youth organizations involved in the democratic process and in society by offering training, developing exchanges and encouraging meetings, discussion and debate, with the aim of helping them to identify their link with the EU, its values and its democratic foundations, in short to help them become actively aware of their European citizenship. ECA Project is co-funded by the European Union.

The European Union and the Environment, these are the two themes of this youth exchange. During your stay in Laroin, you will explore these notions both individually and in relation with each other: What is the impact of the EU on our daily life? What do we mean by European values and citizenship? What is your relationship with the environment?
