Last week (27 and 29 September), Poraka Nova organized the Macedonian mPreneur National Camp, via ZOOM platform, where 4 selected participants and teams presented their mobile app solutions who have social impact and bring positive changes in the society.

Among the participants and youth entrepreneurs, professors from UIST – University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” attended the online pitch competition and with their expertise they provided advises for the young entrepreneurs on how they can improve some components on their solutions.  Afterwards their role was to evaluate the applications and presentations.

On first day Bintern mobile app was presented by Dimitar Mitreski, his solution is focused on brining interns and companies closer, providing valuable information for both sides and increasing the number of students who find good intern positions. After this presentation, Damjan Petkovski presented his application for digital way of making menu-orders (food and drinks). This app could be used by both the restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. and on the other hand by customers in this facilities.  Anastasija Popovska presented her application that is aimed for easy online shopping of cosmetics and beauty products. And the last mobile app that was presented was by Dimitar Veljanovski, Troti Social with an aim to organize different types of events, mostly for people with the same interests. A main functionality in the application is the possibility to choose a specific place and create an event there with a scheduled time that is going to appear on the Home section of people that have some mutual interests with you.

Our colleagues had time also to present the mPreneur project, the next activities that are foreseen (International training in Macedonia and Jury meeting), and the Gala event in Graz. Also during the event was emphasized the importance of the UN SDG’s and why all selected apps must support some of the goals in order to be recognized as a digital content creators with an impact in the society and social impact in the communities.
