From 17 to 22 April, participants of Poraka Nova took part in an Erasmus+ training course organized by PRONI Training Centre in Pirovac, Croatia, within the framework of the project “No Class, Just Impact.” The Poraka Nova team approached this opportunity with a strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm, aiming to contribute to and learn from an international environment focused on youth work and non-formal education.

Set in the inspiring and authentic surroundings of Pirovac, the training offered a dynamic and engaging program led by experienced trainers. Participants explored a wide range of non-formal learning methods used in working with young people, including approaches such as psychodrama, photo voice, experiential learning, role-playing, group reflection, storytelling, and creative facilitation techniques.

The training brought together a diverse group of participants—students, professors, and representatives of the civil society sector—from several European countries, including Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Spain, Hungary, Greece, and North Macedonia. This diversity enriched the experience, enabling meaningful exchange of perspectives on youth challenges, needs, and ways of engagement.

Throughout the training, participants were encouraged to rethink their own learning processes, reflect on how knowledge is transferred, and explore innovative ways to connect with young people. The program also emphasized stepping outside of one’s comfort zone, questioning personal boundaries, and developing both professionally and personally.

Each day combined structured sessions with space for personal reflection and informal interaction, fostering a supportive and open atmosphere. By the end of the training, participants returned home with new insights, practical tools, and strengthened motivation to apply non-formal education methods in their local contexts.

As part of the project’s follow-up activities, the knowledge and experience gained during the training will be shared through future activities and workshops in North Macedonia, contributing to the broader impact of the Erasmus+ initiative.

VOICES FROM PIROVAC: A PARTICIPANT STORY

From April 17th till April 23rd, in PRONI Centar Pirovac, the following voices were heard:

– The voice of the bright political girl who holds the future of her county.
– The voice of the girl with the strongest sense of justice who breathes fire through unfairness, inequity, wrong and bias.
– The voice of the girl so sensitive, yet unbreakable, who hold the whole group together, just like she holds her small worlds not to fall apart, with intensive music drive.
– The voice of the silent boy who was true rhinestone when given the central stage.
– The voice of the youngest girl full of wisdom and determination, who was not scared to share pieces of her heart with us.
– The voice of the woman full of love for her country and her organization, with sense of responsibility in her every action, who won over herself.
– The voice of the boy who was wearing his heart in his sleeve, overwhelmed by emotions, who was also from Grenada.
-The voice of the girl who had angelic name that describes her perfectly, so that her name doesn`t allow me to add another adjective.
–  The voice of the quite girl, whose name actually suggests volume, and who was all around making sure everything was on point.
– The voice of the woman full of love that you could taste so much from it in her food.
– The voice of the most cheerful girl with energy that can power up whole Dalmatia.
– The voice of the boy who was so authentic to himself and who danced every dance.
– The voice of the man who was trying to put a space of humor among us and who was all about fertility, sustainability and progress.
– The voice of the young girl whose confidence was defying her whole being.
– The voice of the gentle young girl full of compassion for the troubles of others.
– The voice of the woman who was not speaking the common language very well, but her abundant presence said it all, she was putting a smile on you with her eyes.
– The voice of the girl who was so punctual, intelligent and a great time keeper.
– The voice of the girl with the big beautiful eyes that looked like tea cups, who was consuming all what we were saying and who gently shared her experiences.
– Then voice of the other angelic girl, who was very modest, yet so bright and future forward when wording her thoughts.
– The voice of the boy who`s name we still don`t know, who was my teammate and who rose up under pressure taking accountability, empathy and obligation.
– The voices of the two boss ladies, the two chameleons adapting to every situation, fulfilled with professionalism, intellectual capacity and sense of wittiness.
– The voice of the lady full of kindness, who earned our respect with her beautiful being.
– The voice of the woman with the most cheerful, contagious laughter who was holding it all from behind, carefully planning and modifying the process.
– The voice of the woman who wore the shield of discreetness, but when she puts it down, her precious soul consumes you.
– The voice of the quit girl with deepest sleep, who wasn`t bothered by the snoring orchestra.

And my voice that you are hearing while reading this. All of those characters built the atmosphere of oneness which in one point brought tides of unbearable happiness. That happiness in different moment was chased away by the strong storm winds of concern.
Yet, nothing was stronger than the south winds who took us around the world, so we can spread the educational knowledge and gained experience created in just one moment – one opportunity.
